why so serious?????
Its so strange how easy it is to get used to being in a different city every day. I am really beginning to enjoy this nomadic life…it really makes me realize that I am way more independent than I ever thought I was. I really don't have anyone to rely on other than myself, and I am absolutely okay with that.
I have accomplished quite a lot on my days off!
The first day my bus mates and I saw Batman in the most obscure little town in Pennsylvania. The second day I ventured into NYC and went out to the most glorious sushi dinner (complete with sake bombs and spilled kung pow chicken) with the girls, Elle and Matt, and the Augustana boys. I have missed those little fuckers so much! They are my boys from back home, so it was great to see them while they were in NYC. Yesterday, Nicole Bryan and I attended the All Time Low show in the sketchiest town in Connecticut. I swear, it seems like all of these bands have turned into NSYNC now! There were BARRICADES holding the fans back, complete with security guards and flashing lights. And I think approximately fifteen bras were thrown on stage, and they were all piled on top of Jack's mic. NSYNC I tell you. I have never been so confused. Today is my last day before work continues tomorrow. So here I sit, in some random town in Mass on my friend Bryan's couch. Nicole and I decided to pamper ourselves by giving ourselves a good old fashioned mani and pedi. And oh how I need it. This is the first and last time I will ever attempt to do my own nails, because it looks like a monster just sneezed light pink goo all over my fingers.
I can't wait for these east coast dates! So many of my friends are coming out, so it's going to be amazing. I am looking SO forward to the Buffalo date. Who is coming to Darien Lakes with me??? Who wants to go on the bungee swing with me???? I haven't been to a theme park in FOREVER.
Here's my quick review of Batman: I left the movie content and happy, but I was in no way blown away. Heath Ledger was obviously absolutely incredible, but you didn't really see a full spectrum of his character. There was so much more about his character that I wish I could have found out. Honestly, all of the characters were quite static…the only character that went through any transformation was Harvey Dent. The plot was lacking that UMPH for sure. It was a great movie, no doubt, but I didn't leave the theatre with my jaw on the floor like I had hoped. What did you guys think?
